Rugby World Cup 2019

The 9th edition of the Rugby World 2019 is to be held in Japan Starting from 20 September to 02 November. This is the first time tournament is going to be held in Asia. A total of 20 teams will play in this upcoming world cup. These Teams are divided in four pools named as Pool A, Pool B, Pool C and Pool D. Every pool contains 5 teams and total 48 matches will be played in this tournament. Pool A teams Japan and Russia have to play opening match at Tokyo Stadium, Tokyo.

The final match of this tournament will be played at International Stadium Yokohama. Rugby World Cup held after every 4 years, twenty nations will fight for the world cup in Japan. Round Robin format will be used for every pool where each team has to play against other teams in the pool.Top 2 teams of every pool will qualify for the quarter finals and the top 3 teams in every pool will automatically qualify for Rugby World Cup 2023. New Zealand is the defending champion of Rugby World Cup.
